Foyer de Danse recreation
On 2 November 2011 at an 'Insight Evening at the ROH: a Degas at the Royal Academy event in conjunction with the RA' a section of Ashton's 1932 ballet Foyer de danse reconstructed by Christopher Newton and Ursula Hageli was performed by Romany Pajdak, Jonathan Howells and members of The Royal Ballet.
The 1932 cast for Foyer de danse included Alicia Markova, Frederick Ashton and Walter Gore. Music was by Lord Berners.
The reconstruction was supported by The Frederick Ashton Foundation.
