Join us for this special event in Birmingham, at which Samara Downs will coach dancers of Birmingham Royal Ballet in Scène d’amour from Raymonda (1959)—a pas de deux originally created by Frederick Ashton for Margot Fonteyn and Michael Somes, and recently reconstructed by Samara for the Foundation. The masterclass will be followed by a discussion exploring the fascinating process of reviving this ‘lost’ Ashton work, led by dance historian Jane Pritchard.
